The best ways to make money in GTA Online
There are several ways you can make money in GTA Online, but here are the best that include passive income and easy cash.

GTA Online tasks require players to work toward building their own criminal empire, and this requires loads of money. The reason for needing money can be wanting to purchase businesses and properties, or just driving a nice ride with your friends. Regardless of why you want money in the game, you need to figure out what’s the most efficient way to get it. Here are the best ways to make money in GTA Online.
Kortz Center Heist

This heist was added to the game in July 2026, with players teaming up with Mr. Faber and Raf De Angelis to steal paintings from the Kortz Center. The heist can also be completed solo, as it supports one to four players. There are some requirements for being able to host the heist, as players must own a mansion and also have purchased the Art Studio upgrade. The total cost for these two comes down to roughly GTA$16 million.
The Kortz Center Heist is one of the best ways to make money in GTA Online, but this method isn’t recommended for beginners. When you are starting to build your empire, you’ll likely be low on cash, and this heist requires a decent upfront investment. However, the returns are also good, as you can generate roughly between GTA$1 million and GTA$2 million from the first weekly primary-target sales, depending on the artwork and difficulty. You can loot more, but the take-home money decreases until the weekly reset.
Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid

This is a multi-mission robbery that has players investigating the Cluckin’ Bell factory before they raid a drug farm. Players can complete this operation solo as well, but have the choice of having up to three more players join the team. There is no upfront cost associated with this operation, which makes it more accessible to players who are new to the game.
The Cluckin’ Bell factory raid offers hosts a GTA$600,000 reward for completing the entire operation once per week. Each subsequent completion before the week resets nets the hosts GTA$400,000. This is one of the best ways for new players to farm money, as even if you complete the raid multiple times a week, as a host, you can get a decent amount of funds.
Acid Lab

This is a business that was introduced in the Los Santos Drug Wars update and can be unlocked by obtaining the Brickade 6×6 through advancing in the First Dose missions. Players can convert the Brickade into a portable drug lab for GTA$750,000. The drug lab requires supplies, which can be purchased from Mutt or stolen. Once the drugs are manufactured, you can sell them through delivery missions.
This business isn’t completely passive income, as players need to arrange the supplies. But you can do other activities while the manufacturing process is ongoing and still earn a substantial amount of money. It’s recommended to complete the 10 Fooligan Jobs to unlock the equipment upgrade, which costs GTA$250,000. You can then sell the upgraded batch for GTA$335,200. This is without supply costs deducted and bonuses added, but this is still one of the best solo businesses in the game. Another strength is that the Acid Lab can’t be raided by NPCs.
Nightclub

The Nightclub is a business that can generate income through two different systems. You have to purchase a Nightclub property, which comes with the club and also an underground warehouse. The club generates income based on popularity, while the warehouse depends on production. Warehouse technicians can use your other business to collect goods, and you can then sell the combined stock through delivery missions.
The Nightclub is a passive business, as you don’t have to do missions or arrange supplies, but you have to manage the business. If your club maintains a minimum 95% popularity, you will generate GTA$50,000 per in-game day. However, the Nightclub safe can only hold up to GTA$250,000, which means you will need to collect the money. The warehouse technicians also gather goods on their own, so you don’t have to manage them, but the player is tasked with sales. This business is particularly useful if you already own multiple businesses, which the warehouse techs can get goods from.
Bunker

This is an arms business where players can manufacture and sell weapons. However, to run it, players need to first buy a Bunker property, which can cost anywhere from GTA$1+ million to GTA$2+ million. The second thing you need is supplies, which can either be bought or stolen if you want to cut costs. You can also purchase upgrades, such as equipment and security. These can improve production efficiency, the value of the end product, and reduce NPC raids.
The Bunker is another business that isn’t fully passive, but you can complete other activities or missions once you’ve arranged the supplies. A fully upgraded 100-unit stock sells for $1,050,000, and you take home GTA$675,000 after deducting supply costs. This business is managed solo for the most part, and you have to take care of the supplies and sales yourself.
Contact Missions

This is the most straightforward way to make money in GTA Online, and it’s the best for beginners. It doesn’t require any investment, property, or other costs, and players just need to complete missions. These include fighting rival gangs, delivery jobs, and other criminal activities. You receive mission invites from contacts, and some missions are unlocked with rank increases.
Each mission pays differently, so there isn’t a universal payout that is guaranteed. However, this is a good option for players new to the game, as they don’t have to invest in-game money. You can build capital using these missions, and then invest in higher-paying heists or buy businesses.
